Editorial policy & corrections

Chan Chan Pet’s editorial policy: how content is produced and reviewed, how we cite sources, independence, our use and disclosure of AI assistance, and how corrections and updates work.

How content is produced

Our educational and matching content is produced by the Chan Chan Pet editorial team, based on general species knowledge and aligned where possible with public guidance from veterinary associations and public-health bodies. Key claims about health, risk and cost are cited or linked to their sources.

Citations and accuracy

Authoritative sources first
Health and safety content prefers public material from veterinary associations, governments and public-health bodies, listed on our sources page.
Fact vs judgment
Objective data (lifespan, cost ranges) is kept distinct from editorial judgment (such as “beginner-friendly”), which follows our published scoring method.
No absolute medical claims
We do not provide diagnoses or treatment guarantees; health content always points to consulting a veterinarian.

Independence

Rankings and recommendations are determined by a single scoring method; we do not accept paid placement. If advertising or affiliate links are ever introduced, they will be clearly separated from content and will not affect scores or health-risk notes.

Use and disclosure of AI assistance

We may use AI tools to help organize content, translate and draft. All published content — especially anything touching health and safety — is checked by a human and grounded in the sources listed here. AI is not used to replace veterinary diagnosis and does not independently decide health advice.

Corrections and updates

We revise content as sources update and readers report issues; each page shows a last-updated date. If you find an error or outdated information, email us at [email protected] and we will verify and correct it. See our review process
